กAn Intensive Session on Car Electronics Will Be Added. |
A session on car electronics will be added to Microprocessor Forum Japan for the first time this year. On top of the fundamental functions of an automobile, such as running, stopping, and turning, a contemporary automobile is required to meet additional requirements for safety, better comfort, and lower environmental impact. These requirements have led to a significant increase in the number of processors used in a vehicle to 70 or 80 in the case of a luxury car, and the number is expected to grow further in future. For example, many models now feature high-performance image processors to enable new functionalities such as collision avoidance to support safer driving experience. State-of-the-art processors are increasingly applied to car navigation systems and car-mounted information terminals.
